This training covers Proxmox VE, the open-source platform that brings compute, software-defined networking and storage under one roof.
"Looking for a different date, or want to book a private group training in German? Contact us at info@croit.io and we’ll be happy to find a solution that works for your team."
Worldwide Proxmox VE Training from a Proxmox Gold Partner
croit provides instructor-led Proxmox VE training for teams worldwide. As a Proxmox Gold Partner and Training Partner, we help administrators and infrastructure teams deploy, manage and troubleshoot production Proxmox VE environments. The course covers single-server deployments, clustering, shared storage, Ceph, SDN, high availability, backup, migration and operational best practices in a hands-on virtual lab.
TRAINER
Our trainers work with real Proxmox VE, Linux, clustering, networking and storage environments. The sessions are practical and based on enterprise deployments, including common issues around migration, shared storage, Ceph, high availability and troubleshooting.
MATERIALS PROVIDED
-
Digital documentation.
-
Access to a virtual training center.
-
Official certificate of completion from Proxmox Server Solutions GmbH.
TARGET GROUP
This course is for system administrators and IT professionals who deploy, manage, and scale virtual environments or hyper-converged infrastructure. You need a basic understanding of Linux and computer networking to attend.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

A stable, high-speed internet connection (at least 25 Mbit/s down, 5 Mbit/s up).
-
A computer with a modern web browser for lab access.
-
A headset, or a microphone and speakers, for discussions.
-
A webcam (recommended for a more interactive workshop).
AGENDA
-
Architecture and components of a Proxmox VE cluster: Requirements, best practices.
-
Exploring the Proxmox Cluster File System (pmxcfs) and Corosync.
-
Cluster networking and redundancy, software-defined networking (SDN) and VLANs.
-
Storage management with shared storage options.
-
Deploying Ceph: Hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), Ceph RBD for guest virtual disk storage, CephFS for clustered file storage, maintenance tasks, and best practices.
-
Migration of guests between nodes.
-
ZFS for asynchronous guest disk replication in a cluster.
-
High availability (HA) for VMs and containers.
-
Failure scenarios with exercises for HA and Ceph.
-
Considerations for a minimal 2 node setup with an external tiebreaker (QDevice).
-
Automate tasks using the Proxmox REST API or CLI tools.
-
Troubleshooting common issues
NOTE:
Looking for a bundle? Select the two courses: "Proxmox VE Deployment and Management" and "Proxmox VE Clustering and Shared Storage." together. They give you a complete picture of managing hyper-converged infrastructure.
NOTE:
Module 2: Clustering and Shared Storage is aimed at participants who have completed the Module 1: Deployment and Management training. This course covers topics that are not included in the Module 1: Deployment and Management course.
